Providing ventilations to a patient is one of the cornerstones of the care we provide and it is not an easy skill.

Nothing lke training on a real person! Another training session with Chief Meis. Here EMTs Jonah and Bryce practice ventilating an apeneic (not breathing person) as well as assisted ventilation with a BVM.

A BVM (Bag Valve Mask) is used to manually provide breaths when someone isn’t breathing properly. Training with this lifesaving tool helps keep our crews prepared to support patients and work alongside EMS when every second counts.
